PEMODELLOUVER DAMPERThe PE model is a louver damper for assemblybetween flanges on gas conduit systems. Louverdampers are made up of various parallel oropposed blades which allow good regulation andgood closure and opening times. The ORBINOXstandard model is designed for operation atpressures of 100 mbar, with recommended speedsof below 30 m/s and temperatures of 600 Cº.It is a relatively air tight valve with a closingdegree of between 90% and 99%, which canreach 100% if an air sealing system is included.The standard model of the louver dampers isdesigned so that the assembly is carried out insuch a way that the drive shafts always remain ina horizontal position, although there is an optionof assembly with the shafts in a vertical positionon request.STANDARD LOUVER DAMPER (PE)DescriptionThe louver damper is made up of variousblades which rotate on their central shaft.The ends are joined to the conduits by meansof flanges. The louver damper is normallysupplied as a single part, except forapplications in which the dimensions of theunit require special transport.ConstructionThe body of the louver dampers is a fabricatedconstruction which can be made of differentmaterials. The standard construction range includessizes ranging from 150x1500 mm (minimum) to2000x2000 mm although, on request, larger sizescan be constructed.The blades are constructed flat with reinforcing ribsand are supported on two semi-shafts. The flat discsystem is sufficiently rigid for the operational pressuresof these valves and does not cause significant losses.Seating optionsThe louvers have two types seal designDepending on the application,the options are:swing-thru (closure from 90 to 97%) forenvironments with a concentration of dust (of lessthan 1000 mg/Nm3); and the step seat (closureof 99%) suitable for other applications requiringa high level of air tightness.BearingsORBINOX supplies its louvers with the bearingssituated on the outside and separated from thepacking. This way, they are kept away fromsources of heat and corrosion, thus lengtheningtheir useful life. The seal is created in thespace between these two louvers, injecting ambientair at a higher pressure than that of the gasescirculating in the conduits. The system creates apressurised chamber which prevents gases fromescaping. This therefore guarantees the air tightnessof the valve with the conduit. This system isdesigned for conduit pressures of less than 250mmwc.It has the following actuators: gear box, on/offpneumatic actuator, pneumatic actuator withregulation, and electric actuator. The sealingsystem is made up of an electroventilator, asealing valve, a dilation compensator and asealing pipe.
