Company History

The company was started in the United Kingdom under the Macawber name in Doncaster, Yorkshire in 1973. In 1976, Macawber expanded to the United States with the establishment of Macawber Engineering, Inc. located just outside of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Today, Macawber Group is a tight knit company with a family feel and an international presence. We are run by a group of individuals who bring professionalism, energy, the ability to think outside the box and adapt to new situations.

1973

Macawber Engineering Ltd. is established in Doncaster, UK

1976

Macawber expands to the US with the establishment of Macawber Engineering, Inc. in Knoxville, Tennessee

1984

Macawber Engineering Ltd. in the UK is sold, and the US location becomes the headquarters

1994

Macawber returns to Europe with the establishment of Mactenn Systems Ltd. in Acton, UK

1995

Macawber expands to India with the establishment of Macawber Engineering Systems Pvt. Ltd.

2003

PDL Sistemas Ltda., signs a Licensing Agreement with Macawber creating a presence in Brazil

2004

Macawber expands to China with the establishment of Macawber China

2012

Second generation takes over

Present Day

Macawber forwards its leadership torch to the next generation
