MAGNAPAK® Brochure (North America)

Designed specifically for throughputs of 50 to 700 gpm, these preassembled, skid-mounted units allow for quick, cost-effective installation at small water treatment and industrial processing plants.MagnaPak® System Features• Treatment modules of 50 to 700 gpm• Combined modules for greater capacities• Small footprint• Simple and reliable operation• Minimal energy requirements• Pressurized units available for well-head applications• Low installation costs• Low operating costs• Lease and financing optionsTreatment BenefitsDue to the flexibility of its placement in the treatment train and a continuous regeneration process, the MagnaPak® System offers many benefits over other treatment alternatives. The resin is not typically impacted by suspended solids and as such, can be used in various locations throughout the treatment train. When used upfront of existing treatment processes, many downstream benefits may be observed due to a reduced contaminant load. Since the system utilizes a continuous ion exchange regeneration process, treated water quality is consistent and there is virtually no risk of contaminant breakthrough. The system also produces very low waste volumes of less than 0.05% of throughput.MagnaPak® Treatment Systems Packaged MIEX® PlantsThe MagnaPak® System is a packaged ion exchange system that uses MIEX® Resin to remove targeted species from water and wastewater streams. Budget estimates can also be provided upon request. Visit our website at www.miexresin.com or contact your nearest Orica Watercare office for more information or to inquire about a specific application. How the System WorksRaw water is fed to the base of the reactor vessel where an agitator keeps the resin and water uniformly mixed. Tube settlers at the top of the reactor vessel separate the resin from the water. Treated effluent overflows into collection launders and to downstream treatment processes.Utility Requirements• Located on a covered concrete pad or in an enclosed building• Interconnecting piping and valving• Access to compressed air and single or three phase power supplyMagnaPak® FootprintBelow are footprints for a range of MagnaPak® Treatment Systems.
