The seminar covers a broad variety of topics related to marine DC Resistivity data acquisition and data processing. The AGI Marine Resistivity Imaging Seminar is designed for those professionals who are involved in, beginning to consider, or have oversight/review responsibilities of others currently conducting marine DC Resistivity imaging surveys. This seminar is a “hands-on” seminar covering marine DC Resistivity imaging topics such as: theory; data acquisition; field procedures; data processing; data presentation; and interpretation using the AGI Marine SuperSting™ Resistivity System and AGI EarthImager™ software. The marine seminar will also provide attendees a better understanding of marine resistivity imaging methods through the use and understanding of AGI EarthImager™ data processing software. This data processing and advanced data acquisition part of the seminar will discuss topics such as: the use of the EarthImager™ software, theoretical aspects of forward modeling and inversion, marine survey design issues, and hands-on practice on how to process underwater data and marine continuous resistivity profiling (CRP) data. The seminar is three days long and goes from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m. each day. Lunch and refreshments will be provided by AGI. This course meets the 15 hour Continuing Education requirement for professional development, a condition for Texas P.G. license renewal. The seminars are limited to 6 people and reservations will be accepted on a “first-come- first-serve basis.” If you are interested in attending, please forward your interest as soon as possible to ensure that space is available and reserved for you. Half price for students, with proof of current student ID. To reserve a place, please submit a completed seminar application via fax or email along with your credit card information. Wear casual, comfortable clothes which can be used outdoors. In case of bad weather, we will simulate the fieldwork indoors. We will be on the water for a full day so we recommend that you bring a hat and sunblock if you use them. Equipment: Although a lap-top is not required, we suggest that you bring one if you have one. This will allow you to follow the processing steps on your own computer. How to find us: From the airport, take highway 71 west. Then take highway 183 north. Go past Interstate 35. From I 35, continue on hwy. 183 for approximately 8 miles.
