MEL Chemicals has been manufacturing from our Manchester site in the UK for over 75 years. It is the headquarters for business administration and research and development of MEL. We have an onsite team committed to scale up of new processes, taking us from laboratory to full scale production rapidly. We continue to manufacture zirconium chemicals and oxide grades directly from the mineral ore. We manufacture a comprehensive range of zirconium oxides and hydroxides; with a variety of physical and chemical characteristics. We also offer a full range of doped materials and can tailor requirements to customers’ specifications. MEL Chemicals’ management systems in the UK meet the requirements of ISO9001:2008 and ISO14001:2004.
