Environment protection and sustainable development

Through the development of the M20, Modem has drastically reduced the ecological impact of Upper Air Observation activity: this last generation of sonde with 1 single battery, a polystyrene volume divided by 4, electronic circuit surface divided by 2, only 36 g. Again, our production process is of course fully compliant with REACH & RoHS standards and of course the UE rules (EC label)

Alongside our French Prometeo partners, we are all focused on building a more ethical and resilient meteorological solutions. The better illustration is our strategy with our longtime partner SAGIM, specialized in developing hydrogen generators (water electrolysis, we have been fostering and promoting the automation of radiosonde systems (stand-alone solution) using H2 produced locally through a clean process to replace the use of Helium, a non-renewable, rare and expensive natural gas.
