Our Overhauser magnetometers measure nuclear magnetic resonance spectral lines that exhibit excellent accuracy and long-term stability characteristics. Our mags are easy to use, and get you better quality data.

Accidents happen. People make mistakes. Weather is unpredictable. Our systems are built to survive in all kinds of conditions.

Instant Awareness

Power LED’s let you see, at a glance, the status of the tow system, if a connector is unplugged, or even if there is a short in the tow cable. A separate blue LED flashes when communication is detected over the link, showing that the towfish is ‘alive’ and collecting data.

Power Protection

The topside unit regulates power to the towfish, ensuring that the power reaching the towfish is always safe and reliable. In case of an overload, the transceiver automatically shuts the system down, avoiding damage. Towfish power is also isolated by the topside unit, preventing any possibility of ground loops or towfish corrosion, regardless of the quality of electrical power on board the vessel. And the towfish itself is protected against reverse voltage, in case the tow cable is wired incorrectly.

Leak Protection

The towfish contains a sensor that is triggered by the smallest drop of water. In the event of a leak, the towfish instantly sounds an alert, so the faulty seal can be repaired with no damage to the instrument. Because the electronics and sensor are individually sealed, they are not damaged by the presence of water in the main housing.

Maintenance-free

Our sensors don’t degrade over time, require no recalibration, and contain no consumable parts. Our towfish are constructed with strong, durable materials that withstand even the toughest conditions. Any protruding elements, such as fins, are designed to break away in the event of a snag or strong bump, with no damage to the rest of the unit – and are easily field-replaceable as spare parts.
