MIP-INJECTION Combined detection and in-situ remediation of soil & groundwater contamination CVR/SE: 24 23 22 98 www.ejlskov..com Ejlskov A/S Graham Bells Vej 23A 8200 Aarhus N Denmark Tel: +45 8731 0060 Mail: info@ejlskov.com www.ejlskov.com Company Profile Ejlskov A/S provides professional environmental services in the fields of: • Soil & Groundwater • Geoprobe investigations • Remediation projects • Environmental Due Diligence • Building and Construction works. Our strength is flexible, innovative and cost-effective solutions tailored to the specific needs and requirements of our customers. In close dialogue with involved projects partners we provide environmental services founded on many years of experiences from complex projects carried out for public and private customers in Scandinavia and Northern Europe. In many cases the projects are implemented in teams with different part-ners with the aim to provide the optimal solutions to our customers. Ejlskov is involved in various public or EU financed development projects involving leading universities and environmental authorities - this gives us the basis to maintain a high innovative level using sustainable techni-cal solutions. To our experienced staff the client is at the centre of our focus and we keep a close and informative dialogue with the client during the project. We do not consider consultancy as a standard commodity but a tailored service, providing the client exactly the solution, he is seeking. A new approach In-situ remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater is in general a sustainable approach and in many cases a very cost-effective solution, - even some times also the only feasi-ble technology. Now it becomes even more attractive as the new combined MIP and Injection (MIP-IN) system is launched into the marked. In one and the same operation the system detects the level and loca-tion of volatile contaminants in the soil & groundwater and immediately after the chosen remediation prod-uct is injected at the same level, - “targeted injection”. How can we assist ? As a specialised company with many years of hands on experi-ence within in-situ remediation we typically get involved in the ? preliminary assessment of different remediation tech-niques ? selection of design- and monitoring criteria's, ? pilot tests (in some cases) ? definition of the site specific approach to be used ? actual injection of mitigation products into the soil ? the evaluation and decision making based on the monitor-ing results A flexible system allowing - mixture of two different prod-ucts just before injection into the soil - successive variation of pro-duct concentration (% solution) or product ratio - Injection at different flow rates and pressure. Examples of products used in the MIP-IN system - E-Zero Valent Iron (EZVI) - 3D-Microemulsion™ - Newman Zone™ - BOS100 and 200® - Molasses and bioaugmentation - ORC® - Permanganate and persulphate. Clear benefits by using the MIP-IN system The targeted injection saves remediation product needed, en-ergy, time in the field and the of-fice. Remediation effect is improved due to targeted injection of prod-uct in volumes reflecting the ac-tual contamination level. Decision making in the field based on real time data and full documentation (logging) of what have been carried out. Environmental sustainable — as minimized disturbance of uncon-taminated land, minimized risk of negative impact on environment and reduced consumption of en-ergy and remediation product. The method can be used both in the plume and the source area, - in some cases with different products or a “treatment train” . Principle of targeted injection (grey shadows indicates contamination)
