Change can alsobe limited for any and all user fee transactions. This unique feature allows you to discriminate between highand low dollar purchases. For example, you may wish to allow a larger denomination bill to be accepted, withhigher change allowed for purchase of annual permits or multiple purchases of differing use fee activities. TheMV-1 allows multiple selections under one transaction, eliminating the need to re-enter like information orswipe your credit card numerous times. Payment can also be made by $.05, $.10, $.25, $1.00 coin or token(token custom), credit/debit card, as approved by your Park's head office.A Smart Card Reader is already incorporated into the MV-1 Terminal, expanding future payment capabilities. The Smart Card can also be used to replace existing Park's cards, such as GA/A, Eagle, or otherswhich provide similar discounts. Replacing the older style cards (paper cards) with smart cards creates a morecontrolled and enforceable environment. Each individual Smart Card can be tied to a specific user, utilizing theexisting card number and the Park's specific secret coding system which identifies the new Smart Card as beingan authorized Park's card. A system for validating and enforcing said discounts at the terminal would then beestablished with relatively low cost.Vouchers are also produced by the Terminal, and can be set to dispense in low or out-of-change situations.The vouchers can then be used at the same terminal as cash, through the bar code reader at a later date, or forrefund purposes at your Ranger Station Headquarters.MV-1 "Parks & Recreation" SoftwareThe MV-1 Software architecture is set for growth, and to allow for future upgrades to the program withouteffecting individual park rates and fee structures. Over the coming years or months, as MITI adds additionalfeatures to the software package, the later versions of the operating software will overlay the older versions andadd new features without the need to re-enter data or fee information.In addition, MITI’s software easily changes all on-screen wording and voice messaging to suit specificneeds. English and Spanish are already programmed into the unit. Multiple languages may be added. MITI willprovide assistance in making these changes, and or make them for you at a nominal cost. All functions can beenabled or disabled.Reports for collections can be pulled up by date, period or type (PWE), and in any combination.Maintenance and terminal door and component access reports can be accessed readily by modem connection,by on-screen viewing at the terminal, or by direct link with a handheld at the unit. They can be downloadedand printed on your host (office) computer's printer. Access is restricted to Management, Ranger, Host orMaintenance Personnel by means of Smart Card with pin number at the terminal, or access codes for remotecommunication.
