The old site was near its capacity limits, while the new site, with a size of 6.5 ha, offers optimal working conditions for the approximately 120 staff members in production and administration. The new production area covers 9000 m² and is therefore 70 percent larger than the old site. The three halls were built with a sensible division of labour in mind: the machine hall with two new laser machines and systems for turning and milling, the container production hall and the common hall for mechanics, warehousing and repair. The new section also houses the affiliate companies Heitling Fahrzeugbau GmbH & Co. KG and Heitling Anlagenbau GmbH & Co. KG, ensuring maximum knowledge transfer.

The arrangement of the areas and the shorter paths has improved the production conditions. The company has also ensured that the incoming daylight provides enough brightness. The production hall has a roof construction with integrated, perforated sheet metal panels for additional noise protection that was immediately welcomed by the staff members.

A customer area with a welcoming design, for example as a place for handing over new products such as silo vehicles, was deliberately separated from the production complex. A further advantage is the location of the new production site directly next to the highway between Osnabrück and Hanover. The management of Huning Maschinenbau GmbH is confident that the new construction will bring major advantages for all participants.
