The outcome is an ultra compact and light- rack 3U, easy-to-use, che-miluminescence based analyzer capable of measuring nitrogen oxidesat ppb levels. Applied to nitrogen oxides measurement,Chemiluminescence corresponds to an oxidation of NO molecules byO3 molecules. The return to a fundamental electronic state of the exci-ted NO2 molecules is made by luminous radiation, detected by the PM tube.The model AC32M is a state-of-the-art singlechamber- single photomultiplier tube designwhich automatically cycles between the NO andNOx modes. It was developed to meet the custo-mer’s requirement for reduced and easier main-tenance with high metrology. It combines apowerful, easy-to-use interface with quality com-ponents and design technology.Real-time calibration graphs can be displayedduring span check operation. Multi-tasking soft-ware, combined with the LCD graphic display,gives a user-friendly access to the instrumentset-up, as well as the status and maintenanceparameters. Real-time synoptic, auto-diagnosticand maintenance data screens can be displayedwhile the instrument is operating. The new elec-tronics allow enhanced data storage of more than one month of 15minute averages, and total remote troubleshooting diagnostic capabili-ties via modem, using the analyzer’s complete display and functionsemulation.
