As the wheel turns round, the light beam passes alternati-vely through the CO cell and the empty cell and then through an interference opticalfilter before reaching the optical detector. If the sample contains CO, the referencebeam will not be attenuated by it because it was already attenuated by the CO of thereference cell. The measure beam however will be attenuated by the CO in thesample. The analyzer was developed to meet customers’ require-ment for reduced and easier maintenance. Equipped withsealed gas cells located in the airtight thermo-regulatedmeasurement module, the CO12M combines a powerful,easy-to-use interface with state-of-the-art componentsand design technology. Real-time calibration graphs can be displayed during spancheck operation. Multi-tasking software allowing advan-ced calculation such as wind direction averaging, combi-ned with the LCD graphic display, gives a user-friendlyaccess to the instrument set-up, as well as the status andmaintenance parameters. Real-time synoptic, auto-dia-gnostic and maintenance data screens can be displayedwhile the instrument is operating.
