Model DSF15 / DSF50 - Side Stream Filters Datasheet
the water marqueSide Stream Filters DSF15 / DSF50The DSF Side Stream Filters are specially designed to remove troublesome suspended debris fromre-circulating water systems, such as heating circuits, chilled water or condensate systems. The filters incorporate easily changed highly efficient re-usable bags and offer a low cost but extremelyeffective remedy for removing corrosion products and accumulated start-up debris that cause systemperformance issues.Lubron UKLubron UK LimitedLubron House8 Challenge Way, Hythe HillColchester, Essex CO1 2LYTel: +44 (0)1206 866444Fax: +44 (0)1206 866800www.lubron.co.uk Lubron NederlandLubron Waterbehandeling B.V.Mechelaarstraat 38 4903 RE Oosterhout (NB) Postbus 540NederlandTel: +31 (0)162-426931 Fax: +31 (0)162-459192www.lubron.eu Lubron BelgiëLubron Belgium B.V.B.A.Antwerpsesteenweg 124B-2630 Aartselaar BelgiëTel: +32 (0)3877 1519Fax: +32 (0)3877 2884 Lubron DeutschlandLubron Wasseraufbereitung GmbHBahnhofstrasse 39 D-71691 Freiberg am NeckarDeutschland Tel: +49 (0)7141 2986130 Fax: +49 (0)7141 2986159www.lubron.deWater system contaminantsIn both heating and condensate systemscontaminants can accumulate causingdamage to circulation pumps andblockages to heat exchangers, controlvalves and pipework. Most of these contaminants are producedby various corrosion processes orprecipitation of calcium carbonate ifhard-water is used for topping up. The corrosion can be significant if oxygenis able to enter the system on a regular or continuous basis, such as when refillingvia the normal expansion and contractionprocess. The oxygen can cause corrosion of metalsand may lead to a variety of unwelcomedeposits. If magnetite (a form of ironoxide) is produced it will adhere to pumpsand pipework, particularly in areas of lowflow. Also, other foulants may have beenintroduced to the system duringinstallation or modification, such as dust, sand or maybe, welding slags or pipesealing materials and need removing.Filter designThe filter comprises of a rugged steel filterhousing fitted with a clamp-style lid and is supported on three stout legs. Flanged2” inlet and outlet connections allow forprecise and easy installation, and the unitis fitted with pre- and post-filter pressuregauges to allow easy visualisation of filtercleanliness. The bag filter is supported internally, and is available in sizes from 1µ to 100µ.An optional set of filter magnets isavailable and their use is recommendedfor LPHW applications.Typical installationA typical complete installation is shown, but simple connection across flow andreturn pipeworks is often all that isnecessary. In heating systems the preferred positionis parallel to the return piping, or at thelowest system point. Usually. systems aresized to cope with 10% of the returnflow (depending on the history, type ofcontamination and size of the system).TECHNICAL DATAType 05FSD51FSDFilter bag PP 0.41m2 (standard 10µm) 3 x PP 0.41m2 (standard 10µm)Connection DN50, flanged DIN PN 10 DN100, flanged DIN PN 10Filter capacity 15m3/hour 50m3/hourMaximum pressure 6 bar 6 barMaximum temperature 100ºC 100ºCPressure gauge 2 off glycerine filled, 2 off glycerine filled, size 100mm, 0-6 bar size 100mm, 0-6 barMaximum ?P 0.5 bar 0.5 barFilter dimensions Height 1193mm, Ø270mm Height 1600mm, Ø700mmOptions Set of magnets Set of magnetsLUBRON UK LIMITED reserve the right to change equipmentspecification without prior notice,,as part of our continuousproduct development programme.Dimensions shown are for reference only.
