The complete unit consists of a pre-treatment / dosing unit, f. inst. a straw cutter, a hydraulic silo discharge, a cone silo discharge, a grain pit, or a coal pit etc. The fuel passes through a fireproof lock (or, if there is only a fuel container, through a feed screw) with a sprinkler, and the feed screw conveys the fuel onto a moving pushing grate where the total combustion takes place by added primary and secondary air.
