The conveyors are especially suited for products with a tendency towards tackiness and bridgebuilding e.g. sludge, damp sand and materials with heterogeneous grain sizes. The conveyors are of robust and simple construction which means limited maintenance and low running costs. The conveyors are constructed in stainless steel and after machining completely pickled. Thus, an optimal durability of material is ensured.Transportation takes place by a Shaftless Screw Conveyors which is embedded in a wear plate of plastic material. The screw is made of high-strength carbon steel with a stainless steel screw available as an option.The standard Shaftless Screw Conveyors is suitable for an inclination up to approx. 30°. When a higher inclination, or higher capacity, is needed the conveyor can be supplied with a double screw. The double screw conveyor is also available for vertical transportation. The conveyors can be supplied with a thrusting or pulling transportation where the motor is placed by respectively the inlet or the outlet. With the thrusting transportation coupling-up to, possibly, the next conveyor occurs from the axial outlet to the side inlet. Therefore the overall height is reduced considerably.The Shaftless Screw Conveyors outlet can be equipped with a standard sliding gate model KD 04, which is specially designed for the conveyor. This sliding gate is available with electric or pneumatic operation, and is constructed in the same high quality as the conveyor.The KD Shaftless Screw Conveyors is a standard product adapted to the customer’s needs.
