Two contact-free intermeshing screws andthe pump housing form closed chambersthat, according to the direction of rota-tion, constantly move towards the pres-sure discharge end of the pump. Thisaxial system enables cautious, low-pul-sation conveyance. It protects the mediaand maintains size, surface and visualintegrity of the products.The 2-in-1 principle conveys and cleansin one pump. Due to the wide range ofpump speeds – up to a maximum of3,600 rpm, process cycles as well as CIPand SIP procedures are possible with justone pump.The advantages are obvious: no need fora CIP pump or the associated piping,valve and MSR technology. It saves valu-able space and reduces your investmentcosts. This enables the conveyanceof non-lubricating or corrosive and con-taminated materials. As the pump ro-tates, the intermeshing of the twoscrews along with the pump housingform chambers. These chambers fill withthe pumped fluid and move it from thesuction side of the pump to the higher pressure discharge side of the pump. Very flexible: The pump is designed to allow for reverse flow by simplychanging the shaft direction. The suction becomes the discharge and viceversa, all without any modificationsto the pump.Bornemann SLH pumpscome with a rotationspeed of up to3,600 rpm. Thisrange makes notonly process cyclesas well as CIP and SIPprocedures possible withjust one pump, but also increases flexibility of use with varying viscosities,temperatures, operating pressures orother important criteria where efficientand profitable production are the objec-tive.
