Even short dry-running phases can be managed under certain conditions. Due to the working principle it is also possible to reverse the flow direction. Various screw pitches are used to reach certain flow and pressure requirements.Even with fluctuating pressures and viscosities, the flow rate can be kept almost constant by speed regulation and aligned with changing process parameters.The shafts and screws are not produced in one piece. As such various material combinations are possible, enabling solutions optimised to the requirements.The pump has a very low NPSH value up to 2 m, and there-fore allows big suction heights with a low noise level.The application area is wide. Anywhere where low to me-dium viscous media are pumped under changing pressures and viscosities, twin- screw pumps offer essential advan-tages.A wide range of media, neutral, alkaline, acidic or aggres-sive, are sucked and pumped with easily.A hermetically sealed twin- screw pump expands the com-prehensive product program of Bornemann. This is a pump with contactless rotating elements and media-lubricated bearings with highly wear-resistant materials, which can also be used with media that are low-lubricating. The pump is hermetically sealed by a magnetic coupling.As such, the advantages that speak in favour of using a „seal-free“ pump can now be combined with the advan-tages of the proven Bornemann 2-spindle technology.
