Our History

Established in 1992, Midsun Group began servicing electric utilities with silicone solutions to animal outage problems. Spending years engineering new products, Midsun found that self fusing silicone tapes are an effective barrier at preventing wildlife contact with critical energized equipment.

In 1999, Midsun purchased a small silicone tape manufacturer, Tommy Tape. This integration soon grew into Midsun Specialty Products Inc., expanding into new markets such as aerospace, maintenance, retail and telecommunications.
