Our sand/anthracite filters will remove suspended solids from the water for use in a wide variety of industrial processes. The water is passed through a bed of sand and anthracite to produce clear water with typically less than 1 ppm of solids. The accumulated matter is removed by a high velocity backwash system coupled with an air scour when required. On multiple installations the filter units can be arranged to provide clean water for the backwashing operation without the need for a backwash water storage tank. Pressure filter plants can also be used for special fields of application such as reuse of process water, filtration of seawater, percolate filtration, final filtration of industrial or municipal waste water.
