Means to communicate...Building Wireless Networks™OverviewNow being installed in networks world-wide, the MRM1500 is an intelligent, modular and highly flexible, Add-Drop Multiplexer which provides a full range of audio, voice telephony (POTS) and digital data services to end users needing to interconnect and establish a link over an X.21 circuit. Operating at line side data rates up to 1.5Mbit/s, the X.21 interface makes the MRM1500 compatible with a large range of terminal devices (routers, switches etc) and transmission equipment. It is particularly suited to use with Westica’s range of microwave radios, but connection to copper and fibre wireline networks is also possible. The main benefits to network planners are; Carrier grade Voice and Data integration in a small simple unit Cost effective Add-Drop capability, increases network efficiency Two aggregate interfaces give East and West transmission capability, thus enabling protected networks; protection can be achieved in either of dual-path or ring configurations Modular High Density Service interfaces optimises multiplexer to applicationOptimum SolutionThe MRM1500 Add-Drop Multiplexer is an easy to configure modular package based around a single 19” shelf including user slots for up to eight Service Delivery Modules (SDM’s). Should more service delivery modules be required, expansion shelves can be added.
