Markleen MultiSkimmers are compact, light-weight units used for recovering all types ofhydrocarbons. All components used in MarkleenMultiSkimmers are robust and sea water and oilresistant.Depending on the viscosity of the substance tobe recovered, standard rotating brush MarkleenMultiSkimmers may be converted to drum ordisc skimmers in just a few minutes and withoutthe use of tools. Thus Markleen MultiSkimmersoffer the advantages of having three skimmers inone.MultiSkimmers operate based on the well provenoil attracting and water repelling properties ofsome materials and recover light oils through tohigh viscosity hydrocarbons, with a minimalwater content (2 to 8%).The rotating module powered by a hydraulic orpneumatic motor creates a current which drawsthe substance to be recovered towards theskimmer.
