Extra Parts:1 The 2’x2’ slab is for the acid injection pump/tank assembly. This size works well as the overall dimensions of the pump are 16”x16”x28” tall. 2’x2’ will provide clearance all the way around. The slab should be positioned within a few feet of the Aqualink or Timer box and a few feet from the return line before it branches off. It can sit between the ?lter and heater.2 After the ?lter, a 2”x2”x½” SxSxFPT ?tting* with the threaded portion on top in a vertical position. This is where the pH sensor will screw in. It needs to be mostly vertical. Eyeball vertical is close enough, just don’t want obvious angles to the side or up and down. Leave capped with a ½” MPT Te?on taped plug.3 The 24” straight length can follow immediately after the pH sensor. This is where the Flow Cell will go. The Flow Cell has 2” unions (we have 1½” ?ow cells when appropriate), and is 18” long. Orientation does not matter. It can be vertical, horizontal, or sideways, but it does need clearance so it can be serviced. We like to leave 3” of unused pipe on either side of it for “just in case down the road.” 4 The last thing we do to the water before it is returned to the pool is the acid injection. The injector uses the second 2”x2”x½” SxSxFPT ?tting*. The ?tting is plumbed after all the equipment and just before any return branching. It does not care about its orientation other than clearance. Take into account the ?tting should have at least 12” of clearance in line with the threads to allow the injector to be serviced. From the injector, stiff tubing will go to the acid pump. Leave capped with a ½” MPT Te?on taped plug.5 Electrical: Power to the System is provided by tapping one leg of the ?lter pump’s switched power.
