Various seals can beused depending upon the throughput media.All details are not binding. Before use,please contact OETIKER for information aboutthe concentration, mixture or temperature of media. If there is any doubt, trials shouldbe carried out. The cross section and materialcodes give details of the composition of eachindividual part.In the case of air, gas and oil – as long as theyare not mixed with any additives – OETIKERcouplings made from standard materials willbe suitable.These details are not binding. Where there isany doubt, trials must be carried out.Note about SafetyISO 6150 §7.1 recommends that a hose ofat least 300 mm in length is used betweenthe coupling and a vibrating tool. Pleasealso read the operating instructions whichare supplied with the coupling.Note about OrderingIf, instead of the standard version, anoptional seal is required, please specifythis when ordering.Selection and HandlingIncorrect handling or the wrong choice ofswing couplings or accessories can result indamage to property and/or personal injury.The maximum operating pressure for eachmodel as specified by the manufacturer mustnot be exceeded. The throughput medium isa critical factor in the choice of seal andcoupling material.
