Theirdevelopment has allowed them to carry out inspections, recoveries and much more.We offer different sizes of ROV’s which offer different degrees of flexibility, including one whichcan have a four wheeled skid with suction device, attached to allow it to adhere and be drivenon hard surfaces. An ROV offers a quick and safe inspection solution.RobotsRobotic technology has advanced greatly. Offering minimal disruption, it now allows us toundertake inspections quickly and safely in places which humans cannot.Robots come in all shapes and sizes and relay information to the inspector via an umbilical.They are able to carry out inspections and remedial work in pipes, and surveys on tank wallsand other sizeable structures.TractorsThe inspecting environment doesn’t always allow for a human to undertake the inspection. Eitherthe environment is too small or unstable. Tractors provide an effective solution to these problems.The rugged, four or six wheeled machines are small enough to fit inside pipes and are fitted withzoom, pan and tilt cameras. Hazardous area inspections can be safely undertaken as sometractors have an explosion proof design.Access systems Not every inspection can be easily accessed from the ground. Difficult to reach equipment inawkward places is one of our specialities. We offer a range of access systems which minimise riskand downtime.From aerial lift platforms for inspecting stacks to IRATA certified technicians who can abseilonto and into structures, we can offer an access inspection solution for almost any requirementyou may have.Ultrasonic technologyWith most inspections we see the problems, but often the thickness of a metal or the inclusion ofdefects is of critical importance. The standard NDE technique for investigating this revolvesaround ultrasonic technology.This technology can be used to measure the thickness of metal in pipes and tanks, identifyingareas of corrosion and therefore potential leaks.
