HISTORY OF INNOVATION Evans Components was started in 1992 when Bob Evans created the High Purity Ball Valve, replacing costly Diaphragm and Bellows Valves then being used for non-process gases. In 2000 Evans expanded its offering beyond non-process gases and introduced the Process Cooling Water line of products. Initially consisting of Lateral Branch Valves and Lateral Manifolds, Evans has since distinguished itself as an innovative supplier to the Semiconductor, Flat Panel, Photovoltaic, and related industries, introducing a variety of products for Process Cooling Water that have improved PCW system quality, and dramatically lowered PCW system costs. ISOLATION VALVES Evans offers a full range of Isolation Valves (1/4” - 6”), and a variety of End Caps to meet the differing requirements of our customers. NPT, Pipe, 150# ANSI Flanges, etc. are all available as End Cap options on Evans PCW Valves. LATERAL MANIFOLDS Evans first introduced the Process Cooling Water Manifold to our customers in 2000 by close coupling Evans PCW Valves with a short stretch of pipe. Today Evans offers Manifolds of up to twenty feet in length, with multiple close coupled valves, or valve Tee assemblies, attached along the pipe at customer designated intervals. Pipe diameters ranging from one inch up to twelve inch are all available. Designed as sections of Laterals, Evans PCW Manifolds are shipped leaked tested and ready for direct installation within the customer’s PCW system. Our Unique valve design and testing capabilities, as well as direct shipment of PCW Manifolds from Evans factories, has significantly reduced the cost, installation time, and unnecessary cutting, facing, and the field fit-up of Process Cooling Water Laterals for our Customers. Turnaround time of system qualification by a Third Party has been reduced as well. VIC EVANS PRESSFIT SYSTEM FOR TOOL HOOK-UP In 2003 Evans introduced the Vic-Evans line of products for Process Cooling Water. A totally weld-free system for plumbing PCW and CPCW Supply and Return Hook-Up lines, the Vic-Evans group of products provides the strength of stainless steel for close to the cost of PVC. Our unique coupling and piping products have greatly reduced the installed cost vs. welded Supply and Return systems, while at the same time providing the leak integrity you would expect with a welded system. From 1/2” - 2”, every imaginable fitting and component needed is available for running Hook-Up lines, including the innovative Vic-Evans “Space Saver” fittings, for which no twist or turn is too tight. If you’ve ever been frustrated by having your Tool shut down because of a crack in a PVC pipe, or by a leaky, over tightened PVC joint, but always believed stainless steel Hook-Up lines were too expensive for you, the Vic-Evans line of product is what you’ve been looking for. TOOL HOOK-UP Evans also offers a full line of Hook-Up Sticks for Process Cooling Water systems. A completely integrated component for Supply and Return, the Evans family of PCW Hook-Up Sticks has raised the quality of the PCW Stick vs. traditional assemblies, and reduced their cost as well. In addition, the Evans PCW Stick is smaller than traditional assemblies, thereby saving precious space within today’s modern facilities. You can order Evans PCW Supply and Return Sticks with a multitude of different types of end connections; Vic-Evans, Compression, Pipe, NPT, etc., are all available for use in our customer’s systems. And uniquely from Evans, a Stainless to PVC Transition end connection is available for those customers who utilize PVC Hook-Up lines. Developed in-house, these unique fittings incorporate a rigid metal nut that eliminates the cracking so often found with plastic nuts used in traditional transition fittings.
