Using our in-housedesign capability and extensive experience, we can custom design a system to overcome the problem.Equipment RentalIf you have the skilled staff, we can provide the equipment to carry out inspections. Equipmentrental could be the most cost effective solution.All our rental packages are tailored to your requirements, and each piece of equipment isprovided transit cased with operating instructions and appropriate test certification.Our pool of rental equipment consists of the latest technology from trusted suppliers. They are trained to work in hazardous environmentsincluding explosive areas, confined spaces and areas requiringrope access techniques.Ultrasonic technologyWith most inspections we see the problems, but often the thickness of a metal or the inclusionof defects is of critical importance. The standard NDE technique for investigating this revolvesaround ultrasonic technology.This technology can be used to measure the thickness of metal in pipes and tanks, identifyingareas of corrosion and therefore potential leaks. We offer a range of inspection solutions whichuse ultrasonic technology.Non Destructive Testing / Non Destructive EvaluationNon Destruction Testing (NDT) and Non Destructive Evaluation (NDE) are forms ofinspection which allow parts and material to be inspected and measured without significantlydamaging them.While NDT locates the fault, NDE locates the fault but also measures something about it, suchas the size, shape or orientation. We have a wide range of NDT and NDE equipment and theyprovide an excellent balance between quality control and cost effectiveness.Pipeline crawlersPipe comes in many configurations, including tortuous path systems. Advances in robotictechnology means that crawlers can be configured to carry different payloads and this allowsus to undertake inspections quickly and safely in places which humans cannot.Crawlers come in all shapes and sizes and relay information to the inspector via an umbilical.They are able to carry out inspections and remedial work in pipes, and surveys on tank wallsand other sizeable structures.TractorsThe inspecting environment doesn’t always allow for a human to undertake the inspection.Either the environment is too small or unstable. Tractors provide an effective solution tothese problems.The rugged, four or six wheeled machines are small enough to fit inside pipes and are fittedwith zoom, pan and tilt cameras. Hazardous area inspections can be safely undertaken assome tractors have an explosion proof design.Access systemsNot every inspection can be easily accessed from the ground. Difficult to reach equipment inawkward places is one of our specialities. We offer a range of access systems which minimiserisk and downtime.From aerial lift platforms for inspection stacks to IRATA trained technicians who can abseil ontoand into structures, we can offer an access inspection solution for almost any requirement youmay have.We also have technology which offers simpler solutions such as video recorders, digitalcameras, depth gauges, callipers and verniers.Since 1981 Inspectahire has carried outinspections across the world. From inspecting theworld’s largest butadiene tanks without takingthem out of service to engineering the removaland replacement of the base heating system ofthe world’s largest single skinned LPG tank whileit remained in use, we have been called upon toundertake all types of inspections.Our experience is not restricted to the Petroleum Retail sector.
