SEL - This selection will toggle between a quad 4 camera view and return to the previous display. The word “JUMP” will appear on screen when SEL is active. SEL - When depressed for 2 seconds will display the output of the DVR recorder where the recording status may be seen. Return to the direct video feed by depress-ing again for 2 seconds. CH - Cycle through the various screen layouts for single channel views, split screens, triple view and quad view. VOL- - Decrease speaker volume VOL+ - Increase Speaker Volume . Monitor controls allow for live viewing of 4, 3, 2 or 1 single camera at a time. Additionally, the digital recorder quad view output may be displayed on-screen with the monitor “Jump” key where the recording status of each channel may be seen. This display is also used during setup of the digital recorder. KEY ON 12 Volt (used to start recording) - connect to a “fused” circuit that provide 12 volts when the key is in the ON or ACC positions. OTHER ON 12 VOLT (used to start recording) - optional connection from a “fused” circuit that provides 12 volts when on. Example: interior dome light circuit. BATTERY 12VOLT - connect to a “fused” circuit that provides 12 volts at all times. Use a 10 amp fuse and a wire gauge that can sup-port 10 amps of startup current. BATTERY GROUND - connect to a proper chassis or battery ground. Use a 10 amp fuse and a wire gauge that can support 10 amps of startup current. Choose 1 mounting arm (short or long) for connecting the monitor assembly to the round base. GPS MOUNT - The GPS receiver (optional) may be posi-tioned at any location providing it is facing upward without obstruction. Typically, the GPS is placed on dash. DVR DIGITAL RECORDER - An aluminum base plate is attached to the DVR locking enclosure. Drill through the aluminum plate and secure to the vehicle. Ensure there is sufficient access to the rear panel to make the power connections. Ensure that the mounting location is within reach of the monitor with the supplied cable set. Ensure that the front panel door is accessible and can be fully opened without obstruction. CAMERAS - The camera are designed to be mounted in the upper corner of the area to be recorded and viewed. A 4 pin cable connects the camera to the DVR wire harness. The monitor will return to the default quad display upon each power-up cycle. Video feed from the DVR is channeled to the monitor AUX input. Display of the DVR output is controlled with the monitor “SEL” button. Depress and hold for 2 seconds to switch between the DVR video and the direct camera feed video. The monitor is powered on with the “KEY ON” power trigger. The DVR will start recording once the “KEY ON” or “OTHER ON” trigger voltages are received. The DVR will continue to record for 15 minutes once both trigger voltages are removed. Video quality is set as “GOOD” in a full D1 frame size at a rate of 30 frames per second per channel. These settings provide a 277 hour continuous loop recording. ?? 34 days at 8 hours/day with constant motion ?? 68 days at 8 hours/day with 50% motion ?? 102 days at 8 hours/day with 33% motion Files are written to the hard drive in an Windows/Mac AVI file format in 5 minute segments.
