In The Beginning

Inspired on a construction site one day in rural Bainbridge Island, WA, Larry (Founder and former President) came up with a simple efficient solution to an age old problem, “Where is my septic tank?” This was a question he would hear often during construction. So with the expertise of Charlie the Engineer and a few key contributors, they created their first locating system called the AR-1 or Ardy receiver and the AT-12 flushable transmitter. Since then our product line has expanded to reach many areas of the locating industry.

Prototek`s Future

Larry’s daughter, Meghan, joined the team in 2004, learning the business from the manufacturing side first and has since moved to the front of the house. She will be carrying on Larry’s vision for years to come. Meghan`s leadership abilities and management skills as the President of Prototek ensure that we will always be ready and more than willing to help you get the job done.
