 COMPANY PROFILEMAY 2010    RAM EUROPE was  founded  in 1951 by   ANDREAS TH. RENTZOS at Orchomenos, Viotia, and was dealing exclusively with the manufacturing of special agricultural machinery. From 1988 and then, in collaboration with European companies, the company’s main activity changed to environmental protection by producing beach cleaning machines and offering beach cleaning  services and,  later on, to a wide variety of equipment for special environmental maintenance and protection works.    Today, our activities are diverse,  including manufacturing and  sales of multi-purpose vehicles  for the protection of the environment, trucks and environmental and fire-fighting services.   The most important projects of RAM EUROPE during the last years are the following:  ? 1991-1994:  Pilot program for beach cleaning in Athens   ? 1994-2002:  Beach cleaning works of the Ministry of Environment at 15 prefectures of Greece  ? 1994-1996:  Sales of beach cleaning machines through the 2nd EU Structural Program for the amount of 6 million €.      ? During  the  implementation  of  the  program  KAPODISTRIAS  in  1998,  RAM  EUROPE  was awarded with  the  international public  tender of  the Ministry of  Interior  for  the supply of 534 multi-purpose vehicles and various attachments,  for  the  total amount of €17 million and the delivery is carried out within 6 months.        2    ? In  2000  we  have  sold  24  beach  cleaning machines  in  total  in  Spain,  at  the  regions  of Andalucia, Barcelona, etc.   ? In 2003 RAM EUROPE  cooperated with FCC, a leading  Spanish  group  in  the  sector  of waste management.  In  the  context  of  this cooperation,  we  set  up  the  company  ECOGENESIS  S.A.  (a  joint  venture  between  RAM EUROPE, PANTECHNIKI S.A. & FCC MEDIO AMBIENTE). The new company  is active  in  the waste management sector.   ? In 2004 we signed a sub-contractor contract with the German firm Krauss Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co.  KG, manufacturer of  the battle  tank  LEOPARD  and  supplier of  the Hellenic Army for the production of 4.500 various components in our premises.    ? In 2005 RAM EUROPE exported beach cleaning machines to Abu Dhabi and Kuwait.   ? In 2006, after being awarded an international tender, we supplied the Turkish Army with 10 special snow clearing machines ???????? SNOWCUTTER.     ? In  2006  RAM  EUROPE  exported,  for  the  first  time,  beach  cleaning machines  to  Hainan island, China  and, until now, we  remain  the only  company who has  sold beach  cleaning machines in China.     3     ? In 2006, RAM EUROPE exported beach cleaning machines to Estonia.     ? From 1986, RAM EUROPE in cooperation with CRES (Center for Renewable Energy Sources and  Saving)  has  developed  research  projects  and  has  entered  in  REW  technology  and, especially, in the exploitation of biomass. Thus, from the various applications of biomass, in 2006 we have created an innovating product for Greece. This product is in pellet form and in particular coming from cotton stems; we are internationally  known as the only producer of cotton pellets®.                  4    ? In  2007  RAM  EUROPE  engaged  successfully  in  the  huge  fire-fighting  effort  in  Ancient Olympia  with  fire-fighting  vehicle  JUMBO  TRACK  MULTI,  which  was  developed  by  our company in cooperation with a German firm. Given this opportunity, RAM EUROPE entered the fire-fighting sector.        ? In 2008, through an international tender, we supplied the Beijing International Airport with the first 2 special snow clearing machines ???????? SNOWCUTTER.       ? On November 1st 2008, we engaged successfully at Strofilia forest, at Peloponisos, with the special fire-fighting vehicle JUMBO TRACK MULTI.      5     ? In  August  2009,  the  JUMBO  TRACK  MULTI  engaged  in  the  fire-fighting  efforts  in  the Northeastern suburbs of Athens.       ? From 2008 RAM EUROPE entered the waste management sector by promoting and selling equipment and waste management services through the treatment – baling – composting of waste [Alexandroupolis (2008), Aegio (2009), Pirgos (2009), Thasos (2010), etc.].        6   7   Our company’s activities can be summarized as follows:  1.1. EARTHMOVING SECTOR – CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY   We  offer  a wide  variety  of  earthmoving machines,  designed  and manufactured  by RAM EUROPE  (skid  steer  loaders, backhoe  loaders, wheel  loaders). Furthermore, we  represent other brands in the Greek market, such as the whole earthmoving range of HYUNDAI.   1.2. ENVIRONMENT SECTOR  By  producing  the multi-purpose  vehicle  ????????  in  our  premises, we  provide  a wide variety of products-applications  in the field of environmental machinery. Furthermore, we manufacture  in Greece  and  promote worldwide  our  range  of  beach  cleaning machines, having  experience  and  know  how  of  20  years.  From  2004  we  have  developed  waste collection vehicles of 5 & 10 m3, press containers and we also develop and manufacture sweepers.  After many  efforts  during  the  last  years, we  finalized  in  2007  the  development  of  the special fire-fighting vehicle JUMBO TRACK MULTI, which is based on the demilitarized battle tank LEOPARD 1 and which has contributed decisively at the rescue of the Ancient Olympia from the catastrophic fires of August 2007. We also represent commercially a number of different European firms which cover almost the  total  needs  of  this  field  and  especially  in  the  treatment  (shredding,  separation)  and baling of waste.    1.3. VEHICLES  During the  last years,  in order to cover our customers’ needs  in the environmental sector, we have entered this field by mounting special superstructures on vehicles’ chassis. Further to this, we expand our activities in this sector by representing exclusively vehicles’ chassis, which may lead to a future separate activity.       8   1.4. CO-PRODUCTION & LOCALIZATION SERVICES  One top activity in our premises at Orchomenos has been the sub-contracting manufacture, on behalf of the German KMW, of 4.500 various components of the battle tank LEOPARD 2-HEL,  bought  by  the  Hellenic  Army.  During  2004-2008  we  concluded  a  sub-contracting project of total amount €8 million, with very strict quality specifications and manufacturing procedures. Subsequently, we have acquired an important know how on this project, so as to negotiate various similar projects in the future.   Apart  from  KMW, we  are  already  appointed  industrial  partners  of  the  Italian  company A.R.I.S. SpA, which manufactures armored vehicles  for military use and also of  the  Italian company VEHICLE ENGINEERING S.r.l. which  is specialized  in modernization/conversion of military vehicles. Both companies manufacture also civil protection vehicles.   1.5. AFTER SALES SERVICES RAM EUROPE provides full technical support – service to all the machines and attachments that offers in the market. For this purpose we have organized:   ? Specially equipped and manned service station at its premises   ? Authorized cooperating service station network throughout Greece   ? Mobile service for the immediate technical support in any part of Greece  Our service network  is expanded  in 40 areas  throughout Greece and each service station disposes of spare parts and especially trained personnel.   The company uses a fleet of trucks and smaller vehicles for the on site  technical support of its machines or  for their transportation at the nearest service station. This mobile service station consists of 22 vehicles from ¾ to 40 tons, for repairs of 1st to 3rd grade.    The personnel  responsible  for  the  service are  specialized mechanics who are continually trained  in Greece and abroad by  the other manufacturers.  For each machine we  keep  a service record, where are reported all the maintenance and repair works. We stock 4.500 spare parts codes in our warehouse.        1.6. SPECIAL PROJECTS & ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SERVICES  The engagement of our company with the environment during the last 20 years has created supplementary activities in various sectors:    1.6.1. BEACH CLEANING PROJECTS  From 1988, RAM EUROPE  is  involved  in the beach cleaning service sector, by undertaking upgrading and beach cleaning projects every summer in Greece using its own machines and equipment.  RAM EUROPE has been awarded at the contest of the United Nations, HABITAT  ??, for the evaluation of the best examples of urban planning and environmental  intervention of the upgrade of our vital environment.    1.6.2. TREATMENT – BALING – COMPOSTING OF WASTE  From 2008, we have entered the waste management sector by providing waste treatment and  baling  works  in  premises  throughout  Greece,  such  as  at  Alexandroupolis  (pilot program), at Aegio, at Pirgos and at Thasos. The equipment is operated with our personnel.       1.6.3. FIRE-FIGHTING SERVICES  It  is  our  new  activity,  which  came  up  after  several  discussions  with  the  Fire-Fighting Department based on the successful performance of JUMBO TRACK MULTI last year. At the moment, our proposal to the Fire-Fighting Department for a 3-year contract is still pending.      9    1.7. PREMISES  RAM EUROPE has its headquarters at 1st km Orchomenos – Kastro, near the town of Orchomenos. Its premises consist of the production premises, the warehouse and the service station. The total area of RAM EUROPE  is outdoor courts 93.874 m2 and buildings of 26.700 m2. Furthermore, our company has offices in Athens of approximately 300 m2 for the operation of the sales department.     10   1.1.
