All of these features add up to one thing - a better pump.SEALING SYSTEM • S-150 through S-7500 Silicone Carbide vs. Silicone Carbide S-1500, S-2000, S-3000, S-4500 and S-7500 model pumpsare equipped with a wear-resistant seal housing and a stainless steel cartridge-type seal with solid silicone car bide sealfaces. This state of the art system can with stand extremely high pressure and utilizes anti-vibration bellows to prevent theseal faces from separating even under the most extreme operating conditions. The mechanical seals run in an oil filled chamber reducing the chance of overheating and failure.THERMAL OVERLOAD PROTECTIONEvery Stancor "S" unit has two thermal overload klixons wound into the stator. If the pump should over heat for any reason,the overloads shut the pump off automatically.DISCHARGE LINING/DIFFUSEREvery Stancor "S" series unit has a discharge lining as standard equipment. This lining eliminates wear on the pump housingfrom abrasive action and is available in a variety of materials such as nitrile, rubber, polyurethane, nylon, etc.CONTACTORThe contactor is located in the head of the pump. Klixons are wired directly into the contactor thus elimi nating the need for acontactor in the control box.IMPELLERSStandard impellers are made of hardened stainless steel (17-4ph) capable of withstanding both heavy abrasives andchemical attack. Impellers and rotor shafts are keyed and threaded for a double secure fit.PERFORMANCEGenerally, it can be stated that Stancor "S" series pumps provide more overall efficiency - more gallons per minute (gpm) perhorsepower (hp). This allows a customer to use a smaller "S" pump saving money on the unit and subsequent operatingcosts.COATINGAll Stancor "S" series pumps can be hardcoated and teflon impregnated for extra protection in those extremely harshoperating environments. The process is dramatically effective and economical. Stancor offers other optional coatings forapplications. The slimline design of the pumpsfacilitates installation in tight quarters.
