THE COMPANYThe history of Salling Plast goes back almost 50 years – and the business has been family-owned since the beginning in 1967. The company started as a one-man operation and today employs more than 100 people and exports to many countries both within and outside the European Union.We are continually expanding our product range which now includes 30,000 separate item numbers – from pre-insulated district heating products to fittings and other forms of plastic pipes and casings as well as a wide range of specialist products. Over the years, our product range has always developed in close consultation with our customers.210mm210mm? OUR PRODUCTION LINEAn increasingly large part of our production consists of specialist solutions. Our flexible and efficient production apparatus allows us to handle all aspects of these solutions – including the production of manufacturing tools and machines.We set high standards for our suppliers, and we only use certified raw materials from recognised raw material producers. We never compromise on the quality of our raw materials and are therefore able to guarantee uniformity throughout our production.Our products are used for district heating and cooling, utility and waste water, ventilation, food production (e.g. abattoirs, dairies and breweries) and by the chemical and offshore industries. Approx. 50 % of our production is exported.? OUR QUALITYTo ensure long-term customer relationships, we know that it is vital that our products meet our customers’ requirements and expectations and comply with applicable norms and standards. We therefore also have full product traceability in all our processes.Our internal quality division continually ensures that our production at all times complies with applicable standards and regulations under the ISO 9001:2008 quality standard and that production of district210mmheating pipes complies with EN 253:2013 and its underlying standards.? OUR EMPLOYEESAll our employees are highly trained, and our HDPe and steel welders are all certified. We continuously offer our employees further training, e.g. applicable welding certificates, workshop certificates and general quality improvement courses.We use operator and process control to ensure that all employees take responsibility for completing their work correctly. Work is then checked internally and our dispatch division carries out final checks.? THE ENVIRONMENTWe have a long-term environmental plan in place. By focusing increasingly on the environment, we wish to prevent, reduce and, if possible, eliminate pollution. We believe that this should take place mainly at source to ensure that our natural resources are managed in a more sustainable way.Our production processes are continually optimised, and we seek to reduce our impact on the environment in all areas of production. FACTSWe use approx. 1,200 t of HDPe materials a year, and one of our most important areas of production is shrinkable casings. We produce more than half a million shrinkable casings annually.Our total warehouse capacity is approx. 160,000 m2, and our production capacity is approx. 22,000 m2.
