Segmented Flow Analyzer
CompactSleek DesignSimple to UseLow cost per test NEXT GENERATIONSEGMENTED FLOW ANALYZERHOW DOES THE AA1 WORK?A basic SFA system consists of an autosampler, a peristaltic pump, a chemistrymanifold, a detector and data acquisition software. Sample and reagents arepumped continuously through the chemistry manifold. Air bubbles are introducedat regular intervals forming unique reaction segments which are mixed using glasscoils. Glass is ideal, as it is inert, stays clean and enables easy visual checks. In SFA, all reactions run to completion. The ratio of sample to reagents in thedetector reaches a constant maximum value – the steady-state condition. Thisensures maximum sensitivity resulting in lowest detection limits and exceptionalreproducibility. Variations in reaction time, temperature and sample matrix do notaffect the results as they do in other colorimetric techniques, such as flow injectionanalysis, where the reaction is not brought to completion. The dual channel AA1 is ideal for all types ofwater analysis for laboratories needing a simple, uncomplicated system to run dedicated chemistries. Its light weight and compact design means it can sit inany orientation on the bench. As a market leader, SEAL has over 1,000 applicationsavailable and under continual development. Markets includewater, wastewater, soil, plant, fertilizer, food and beverage. Please contact us for your specific application. The AA1 is designed to be asleek system that is reliableand simple to use.A new generation of flow analyzers from SEAL – focusing on simplicity of useAmmoniaPhosphateNitrate+NitriteNitriteTotal NitrogenTotal PhosphorousChlorideUSEPA, ASTM, ISOand other international regulatorycompliant methods are available.PARAMETERS INCLUDEWater & WastewaterDrinking WaterSoil & PlantsAPPLICATIONS INCLUDEADVANTAGES AND BENEFITSThe new AA1 Segmented Flow Analyzer is a fully automated instrumentdesigned specifically for environmental and industrial testing laboratories.P L E A S E V I S I Twww.seal-analytical.comor contact your local SEAL Analyticalrepresentative about your specific application.Compact design – small footprintUp to 2 channels per systemSimplified tubing – easy to useIntuitive software – easy to learnAdd samples once run has startedUp to 120 tests per hourLow cost per testThe unique AA1 digitalphotometer provideshigh sensitivity, widedynamic ranges and lowdetection limits. The AQ1 and AQ2 are idealwhen many and varied tests are needed on different samples.AA3 and QuAAtro are high performance, fully automated instruments, that use the principle of segmented flow analysis to achieve highthroughput, high reproducibility and low detection limits.AACE software is a common platform and is intuitive and flexible.SEAL’s enhanced computer controlled BD50 digestion block, is especiallysuited to Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen and Phosphorous methods.Reproducible results are ensured as it is made fromsolid aluminum with a heating grid for evenheating across the whole block.
