The SEMTECH CPN continuously measures condensation particle number down to 23nm in real-time, in a package designed for on-board measurements. The switchable SEMTECH CPN 23|10 extends the measurement down to 10nm through a user selectable flow path and software switch. Both systems can operate continuously for extended periods without maintenance. A heated line delivers the sample to a catalytic volatile particle remover, dilutes the aerosol, and counts the particles by butanol condensation. These modules operate as a stand-alone device and are compatible with the SEMTECH DS+ portable emissions measurement system (PEMS).
