SERIES VS360/260 INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE MANUAL SERIES VS360/260 HIGH PRESSURE BALL VALVE 1. USE: 1.1 Life of valve can be maximized if the valve is used within the rated range, in accordance with pressure, temperature, and corrosion data. 2. MANUAL OPERATION: 2.1 Supplied with a 90° lever 3. AUTOMATED OPERATION: 3.1 Electric and Pneumatic actuation is available – Please consult factory 4. GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ON-SITE INSTALLATION: 4.1 Remove the protection at the ends (the protection ends should only be removed at just before installation as they prevent foreign bodies from entering the valve) 4.2 Check that the threading on the fitting is clean and not damaged in anyway. 4.3 When tightening on to the pipe, be sure to use a wrench on the plug hexagon *never fold the valve by the open/close lever 4.4 Valve can be installed in any position at an angle, vertical or horizontal 4.5 Turn the open/close lever by 90° until it reaches the limit 4.5 Open or close the valve by hand Valve is OPEN when the lever is longitudinal, parallel to the line Valve is CLOSED when the lever is perpendicular, at right angles to the line All personnel responsible for fitting the valves must have all the necessary professional qualifications and training and, in addition must verify the following: Never to install the valves on lines that work at temperatures below or above the allowed limits Never use thread locking permanent on the ends of the valves during installation, as these will immediately inhibit all the valve functions. Triad recommends thread sealant for all valves Never use valves without authorization in plant handling harmful fluids Never attempt to assemble or change the valves when line is pressurized Never exceed the max working pressure indicated on the valves VS360 VS260 Triad Process Equipment 4922 Technical Dr. Milford, MI 48381 248.685.9938 www.triadprocess.com Copyright 2005, Triad Process Equipment Triad and Triad Process Equipment are registered trademarks.
