Sewage Gas

Combined heat and power systems for wastewater treatment plantsCombined heat and power systems (CHPS) Natural and liquid gas Sewage gas Biogas HydrogenDue to the power and heat flow characteristics of waste water treatment plants, Senergie combined heat and power systems are perfectly suited to provide the power demand. Sewage gas amount is about 15 to 35 litres per resident per day has an energy content of about 585 BTU / cubic foot. (By comparison, the energy content of natural gas equals about 970 BTU / cubic foot.)Our WWTP cogenerations operate depending on the amount of digester gas emitted; the gas engines will run as long as there is sufficient sewage gas available. The digester in a wastewater treatment plant requires lots of heat, so there‘s almost never excess heat generated. The power produced can either be used to operate wastewater pumps, the aeration system and other electric consumers of the plant or it can be fed into the public grid or other supply channels. The engines used in Senergie WWTP cogenerations ope-rate in a lean burn mode. This leads to significantly redu-ced emissions. Exhaust gases emitted generally require no further treatment.Sewage gas may contain substances like H2S or siloxanes that can damage the system’s engine. In those cases, the substances must be removed first.Senergie also knows a perfect solution for this potential pro-blem – ask us about it.The Senergie combined heat and power systems are equipped with a control system. It also communicates via potential-free contacts and/or data bus with the WWTP’s process control system. Of course, remote acces via Internet is also possible.Waste-to-Energy Energy-from-WasteIt is exactly here where a lot of money is saved. The heat derived from the combined heat and power system is needed for the digestion of sludge. Power generated thereby covers a large portion of the power needed. There is no better ecological or economical means of generating energy.*Sewer SystemDigestionElectricalPowerFinal ClarifierWastewaterSewage GasPolluted WaterSenergie CHP *SludgeHeatAerationClear WaterA reliable, efficient, and cost-effective method of power generationWe only install reliable engines manufactured by the popular companies MWM and LIEBHErr. These engines are charac-terized by our expertise we provided to the manufacturers in research and development. An Investment that pays offTraditionally, wastewater treatment plants are one of the big-gest consumers of electrical power. While electrical power is becoming more expensive, most WWTP still use their digester gas either for conventional boilers and outdated cogenerations or flare it.Don’t miss out on this opportunity to reduce your energy con-sumption on wastewater Treatment plants. Usually a combined heat and power system for a wastewater treatment plant is amortized over three to five years.Combined heat and power systems make it possible for you to benefit while reducing your energy costs and actively con-tributing to the protection of the environment. We’re close to all our customersSenergie combined heat and power systems are used by satisfied customers around the world. Even after installation, we make it our priority to provide our customers with service, product support and maintenance, no matter where they are. That’s why upon installation, Senergie combined heat and power systems are inspected from top to bottom and set up to last. As with every high-tech plant, regular care and mainte-nance are extremely important. Our network of qualified and highly-trained specialists works to ensure that each system performs and lasts. Are you involved with high-tech plants?
