Free version of SimWorks

We offer a free version of SimWorks. We only ask you to register your email with us to receive information about software updates.

The free version is the ideal choice for who is approaching CFD modelling for the first time, in particular for students who want to learn about CFD and need to carry out CFD analysis during their studies.

It can also be used by professionals wanting to test our software but we would always advise to try the commercial version that includes additional modelling and features designed for professional users.

SimWorks is transparent

During the Setup phase of each simulation, SimWorks writes text files called dictionaries that are required by OpenFOAM®* to mesh and run the CFD simulation. These dictionaries and the case data structure are consistent with the native OpenFOAM® format and are compatible with the most recent OpenFOAM® versions provided by OpenCFD Limited.

We encourage the use of SimWorks to carry out CFD simulations directly in OpenFOAM® both for learning purposes and in its professional use. We have also created tutorials to support the learning of both SimWorks and OpenFOAM®.

SimWorks guarantees access to the simulation dictionaries. The user is allowed to modify the dictionaries to learn about the simulation settings or to update the setup manually before running the simulation. The results can still be analysed with SimWorks post-processing functionalities.

SimWorks commercial licences

The commercial licenses are intended for a professional use of SimWorks and we have a range of licensing options to suit your needs. You can request a bespoke quote here.

We designed SimWorks around the concept of managing, running and analysing multiple simulations at the same time, as required by the industrial process. SimWorks comes with technical and engineering support and we can also provide bespoke training services on request.

SimWorks for academic use

We are happy to offer a free licence of SimWorks without any limitations for academic research and teaching purposes. Please contact us here for details.

Additional Services

SimWorks has been designed to be extended and personalised. Upon request, we can adapt the main features of SimWorks to specific industrial needs and create a fully bespoke software product.
