Snap Sampler Flysheet

How the Snap Sampler Works… • Snap Sampling is a Passive, equilibrated, grab sampling method—Snap Samplers are deployed in advance and allowed to equilibrate with the well/aquifer system. • To sample, you simply pull the well-head trigger to close the Snap Sample bottles in situ. Then, just retrieve the sealed sample bottles and send to the lab. • To prepare for the next sampling event, you set new bottles in the Snap Samplers and reinsert the samplers back in the well—it’s that simple...and your samples are never exposed from the well to the lab. US Pat 7,178,415 / UK Pat GB 2,417,722 Passive Sampling……Sealed In Situ Cost Savings… • Sample in a fraction of the time and with a fraction of the equipment needed for purge sampling—save up to 50% or more over traditional or low volume purging. • Dedicated equipment cost can be recouped in as few as 2 or 3 monitoring events, not years later as with other dedicated systems. • No pump, pump controller, or other equipment rentals required. • No generators, compressed gases, batteries, or fuel to drive the sampling process. Data Quality Improvements… • Fixed sampling depth and sampler equilibration means that you are sampling in the same consistent way, in the same location, quarter to quarter, year to year. • Consistency means reduced variability. Reduced variability means seeing results of remedial action or natural attenuation sooner. Seeing results sooner satisfies regulators and saves money. Regulatory Acceptance… • Overall, regulators like consistency and limiting sources of error. They also like the idea of a sample sealed in situ. Consistency of the Snap Sampler method along with ITRC guidance makes conversion a breeze. Improved Health and Safety… • No heavy lifting of generators, pumps or controllers; no fuel, electricity, or compressed gas. • No purging means no purge waste—so there is no heavy drum handling. • Less time and equipment at a well means less time in potentially hazardous locations. Reduced Waste and Material Handling… • Snap Sampling collects only the water you send to the lab—there is no purge waste (or even extra sample waste) generated when sampling with the Snap Sampler. • Dedicated Snap Samplers are redeployed in the well they were just retrieved from—so in most circumstances, you do not have to conduct extensive decontamination. Therefore, only solid waste, such as PPE, is generated during the sampling process. • Snap Samplers are stored in the well, so you don’t have to store the equipment between sampling events, or try to locate it in advance of the next monitoring event. www.SnapSampler.com (585) 385-0023 Snap Sampler By ProHydro, Inc.
