SoapConcentrator A.H. LUNDBERG ASSOCIATES, INC.Separation of tall oil soap from black liquor frequently produces a soap density of one to three pounds per gallon. The Lundberg Associates’ Soap Concentrator can increase soap density to as high as eight pounds per gallon, resulting in reduced soap storage requirements and improved liquor drainage. Typical installations include weak black liquor oxidation systems, weak black liquor storage, foam control systems in washing plants, evapo-rator skim tanks, and in soap processing systems. The Concentrator is one of two mechanical foam breakers that Lundberg Associates engi-neers have developed for foam control systems. The Concentrator has been designed to operate on light soap common to black liquor from pulping resinous woods.
