Our Point-of-Entry backwashable sediment filter has a stainless steel filter screen that prevents all physical particles larger than 0,1 mm (100 µ) from passing through the filter. As particles are accumulated inside the sediment filter, it is necessary to periodicaly clean the sediment filter. The cleaning process of the filter can’t be easier than with the SOF-POE-1: simply turn the backwash knob to the backwash position! Water flow through the stainless steel filter cartridge is reversed, backwashing all trapped particles from the filter screen and flushing them away to the drain.
