SPECTRO SMARTANALYZER VISION - Brochure

SPECTRO SMART ANALYZER VISIONICP Software from Tomorrow for Maximum Productivityin the Laboratory TodayVersion 4SPECTRO SMART ANALYZER VISION: Theultimate in flexibility and functionality, and yetstill easy to use interface for SPECTRO ICP-OESspectrometers. Providing straightforward andintuitive access to all the functions, simple “one-click” routine operation and customizable views, even non-experts can fully extract and takeadvantage of the instrument’s unique analyticalcapabilities with SMART ANALYZER VISION.Software functions are divided into categoriesand are linked through a central navigationpanel. The user is presented with a clearlydesigned, self explanatory screen. Switchingbetween the categories only requires a click ofthe mouse. Only the relevant functions arevisible. Components that are not required can bedeactivated with the integrated user manager. The screen presented to the user is always clearand self-explanatory.– Intuitive-to-use design– Routine operation with just a few clicks– Simple method development– Advanced recalculation of the original measurement data– Unattended operation with intelligent event control– Completely compatible with US EPA, CLP and other standards and regulations– User and data management conforming to US FDA 21 CFR Part 11Intuitive, Intelligent, PowerfulThe program interface is clear and self-explanatory.Analysis View Start instrument, select method, measure – The Analysis Window is clearlyoriented to the practical requirement of quicklycompleting the daily sample load. All importantinformation is summarized on one screen. Menus, tools and context sensitive menus, are structuredso that a fluid and effortless work flow is ensured.Docking windows can be used to provide tailoredinformation output. The customized interfacesettings can be made user specific and will loadautomatically based on the user login.Productivity: While waiting for an analysis it ispossible to display and evaluate previousmeasurements. A specification control functionchecks that results are within defined limits.Complete spectrum capture allowscomprehensive post-analysis data processing. One example of this unique capability is thepossibility of recalculating the result to includeadditional element lines without having tomeasure the sample again.Automation View Working in the automaticmode with SMART ANALYZER VISION is fast andefficient. The samples to be measured areentered, either manually or automatically, into asequence list, the sample tray filled and thesequence started. Even complex tasks, like thoserequired for regulatory compliance measurements, can be defined with the integrated eventmanagement system. This includes controlsample measurements, monitoring ofmeasurement ranges and defined limits, sampledilution, procedures for optimization of the cycletime and any alarm reactions that may benecessary. A script editor and an optionalautomation client module are available for evenmore specialized tasks.Spectra View For fully unknown samples, it ishelpful to have an overview before an analysis.Questions as to the matrix and the elementscontained can be easily answered with theSpectra Viewer. The line identification modeenables a rapid qualitative analysis. Access tostored spectra provides a simple comparison withknown samples. A semi-quantitative analysis isalso possible. Line and interference librariesprovide details as to suitable lines. The integrated Spectra Viewer enablesthe rapid, automatic, semi-quantitativeanalysis of unknown samples.Since the complete spectrum is stored with everymeasurement, wide-reaching possibilities for postprocessing are available.www.spectro.comU.S.A.SPECTRO Analytical Instruments Inc.91 McKee DriveMahwah, NJ 07430Tel: +1.800.548.5809+1.201.642.3000Fax: +1.201.642.3091spectro-usa.sales@ametek.comGERMANYSPECTRO Analytical Instruments GmbHBoschstrasse 10D-47533 KleveTel: +49.2821.892 2102Fax: +49.2821.892 2202spectro.sales@ametek.comHONG KONG (Asia-Pacific)SPECTRO Analytical Instruments(Asia-Pacific) Ltd.2303-4 Sino Favour Centre1 On Yip Street, ChaiwanTel: +852.2976.9162Fax: +852.2976.9132spectro-ap.sales@ametek.comSubsidiaries: CHINA: Tel +86.10.8526.2111, Fax +86.10.8526.2141, spectro-china.sales@ametek.com, FRANCE: Tel +33.1.30688970, Fax +33.1.30688979,spectro-france.sales@ametek.com, UNITED KINGDOM: Tel +44.121.5508997, Fax +44.121.5505165, spectro-uk.sales@ametek.com, ITALY: Tel +39.02.946931,Fax +39.02.94693650, spectro-italy.sales@ametek.com, JAPAN: Tel +81.(0)3.37405172, Fax +81.(0)3.37405307, spectro-japan.sales@ametek.com, SOUTH AFRICA:Tel +27.11.9794241, Fax +27.11.9793564, spectro-za.sales@ametek.com, SWEDEN: Tel +46.8.5190.6031, Fax+46.8.5190.6034, spectro-nordic.sales@ametek.com. The user is supported and guidedthrough the process with the help of suggesteddefault values, comprehensive databases andreference libraries. Automatic optimization anddefinition functions provide additional help. Anexample; the proprietary smart backgroundcorrection (SBC) module offers additionalassistance by automatically modeling the matrixor interference spectrum and subtracting it fromthe analyte spectrum, resulting in substantiallyimproved recoveries. Even highly structuredbackgrounds can be corrected for in this way.New methods can be developed in a very shortamount of time. Only method import is faster:This is made possible by ICAL, the intelligentcalibration logic that transfers line and backgroundpositions together with all the other methodsettings. All that remains is to re-measure thecalibration standards.Configuration View The configuration view isused to set universal parameters and to managethe alarm system, log books and users. The alarmsystem reacts to various events and notifiespreset contacts by e-mail as necessary. The logbooks make it possible to easily trace events andactions. User management is used to controlaccess to the system and allows individualcustomization of the program interface.SMART ANALYZER VISION includes performance-boostingproprietary algorithms and measurement techniques likeSpline and Smart Background Correction.Minimum system requirements– Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista– Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.4 GHz, 2 GB RAM– 80 GByte hard drive– DVD-ROM/CD-RW optical drive– Monitor resolution 1024 x 768 PixelTechnical Data:
