The “Spot-Fire*100FA” is capable of spotting a butane lighter flame at 55 ft in seconds. It can also spot a burning puddle of gasoline at 300 ft. Yet the SF100FA flame detector is insensitive to direct sunlight, LED and filament flashlights, or auto headlights, and isn’t compromised by fluorescent and HID factory lighting… just sees UV flames. Special software protects against alarms from lightning pulses. But don’t light a match or weld in front of this instrument, as this will cause an alarm.
