STIRJET is the solution to multiple problems in wastewater treatment. This equipment can be installed in various locations, such as tanks, lagoons, septic tanks and lift stations in order to promote aeration and agitation of the effluent. STIRJET recirculates the effluent, aerating it and discharging it to the treatment site with an increased concentration of dissolved oxygen. The system enables the maintenance of a dissolved oxygen level, which allows the biodegradation of organic matter, the endogenous respiration of the microorganisms and eventually nitrification. STIRJET meets the oxygen needs of a wastewater, complementing the existing treatment and helping in reducing the discharge parameters (BOD, COD, nitrogen, ...). STIRJET also helps in the elimination of a gas compound extremely corrosive for most equipment – hydrogen sulphide (H2S). Since the production of high concentrations of H2S by the bacteria is promoted by the lack of oxygen, the presence of STIRJET prevents the formation of H2S since this only occurs under anaerobic conditions. STIRJET is a simple system, however, each installation is unique and each case must be evaluated previously in order to achieve the desired objectives.
