What began as a modest joint venture under the aegis of US-based Glen Raven Inc. – a global leader in technical and performance textiles – to provide geosynthetic products and civil engineering solutions to the infrastructure market in India, gathered dramatic momentum in 2007 when Strata came into its own as a force to reckon with.

Today, we are a global leader in geosynthetic manufacturing and soil reinforcement technology. We are addressing the evolving needs of the infrastructure sector for such applications as Retaining Walls, Reinforced Soil Slopes and Embankments in highways, landfills, mines, railways, ports, container yards and more. The Carlyle Group, a global investment firm, is the majority stakeholder in Strata.

Beyond supplying products and designing engineering solutions, Strata also offers fully integrated construction capabilities, and both general and specialised contracting in select global markets. In India, we provide complete design and construction packages for the highway, landfill and mining sectors. As a matter of fact, we have participated in more than 60% of National Highway expansion projects.
