We can provide 25mm, 37mm or 47mm quartz-fiber filters in petri-dishes, and 37mm filters in three-piece plastic cassette samplers. For any size of filter in the petri dishes, the cost is $5.50 per filter and minimum orders of 10 filters are preferable. For the 37mm filters in the plastic three-piece cassettes, we accept minimal orders of 5 and charge $10.00 each. All of our quartz filters provided are packaged in the petri dishes or cassettes, upon which point they are ready for sample collection. Filters will be shipped the day after confirming an order. Results and Turn-Around Time Sample sets containing less than 25 samples can usually be analyzed and reported within one to two weeks, and sometimes can be reported within the same week they are received. Larger sample sets may take longer depending on current workloads and the amount of samples sent. Larger sample sets should be scheduled ahead of time so that results are obtained quickly. Results are reported as micrograms per square cm of the filter deposit for each carbon species-elemental, organic, and inorganic carbonate (if present). If the custom provides sample volume data (i.e. deposit area, total volume, flow rate & time, etc.) Sunset Laboratory will calculate additional results incorporating volumetric parameters. A printed copy of the results is sent by mail or fax. In addition, results can also be obtained as a data file on a floppy disk. The file can be sent as an Excel spreadsheet or other spreadsheet formats (*.csv or *.txt) as an email attachment. When ordering, please let us know about the report formats you need.
