TenCate Polyfelt - TS - Separation & Filtration Nonwovens Brochure
TS - Separation & Filtration NonwovensApplicationsUnpaved roads Road constructionRailwayconstruction Drainage trencheslow stress level high stress levelArea drainagee.g. sports fieldsTenCate Polyfelt TS geotextiles are mechanically bonded continuous filament nonwovensmade from 100% UV stabilized polypropylene. They have been used for decades asseparation and filtration elements in a large number of civil engineering applications.TS- geotextiles stabilise base courses oversubgrades with low bearing capacityTS- geotextiles maintain the permanentfunction of drainage systemsTS- geotextiles are robust and long-lastingTS- geotextiles ensure the uniform thickness of thebase course by preventing the ingress of fill materialinto the fine-grained subgrade. Installation damage isprevented by the outstanding puncture resistance. Thehigh tensile strength of TS in longitudinal, transverseand diagonal direction provides additional stability tothe structure.TS- geotextiles offer excellent filtration properties, characterized by high water permeability and optimumsoil-retention capability, even under high mechanicand hydraulic stress. This ensures that the drainagegravel keeps its water flow capacity, thus providingquick and efficient drainage of the soil. The manufacturing method (a continuous process withendless filaments) guarantees the use of high-qualityraw materials. TS is resistant to all chemical andbiological media usually occuring in soils andconstruction materials. It cannot be dissolved bywater and therefore is harmless to ground water.TS- geotextiles are equipped with a UV-stabilizer,providing extended resistance to direct sunlight. The advantages at a glance:- Stabilizes base courses oversubgrades- Maintains the function of drainagesystems- High long-term resistance andrubustness- Technical support by TenCateService Teamlowbearing capacityService is a part of qualityTS- geotextile grade selectionThanks to a worldwide network of subsidiaries andtrading partners TS- geotextiles are quicklyavailable. Standard grades can be deliveredpromptly. For technical questions an experiencedteam of experts is at your service. The grade selection chart below gives just a roughguidance.
