TPS Series Two/Three Phase Separation Units Brochure
w w w.hudsonind.comTPS SERIESPressurized Two/Three Phase Coalescing Oil/Water Separators??????? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ???Industrial Separation & Process SolutionsHudson Industries designs and manufactures a complete line of pressurized coalescing oil/water separators, from 1-10,000 gpm for a wide variety of industrial applications. The TPS (Two/Three Phase Separator) Series effectively reduces free oil and grease content in waste streams to 10 mg/L or less. Through the use of high efficiency thermoplastic corrugated plate modules, this equipment can provide high quality, consistent effluent results across a broad range of applications.INDUSTRIES SERVED• Offshore/Onshore Produced Water Treatment• Petrochemical and Refining• Power Generation• Steel Manufacturing• Marine• General Heavy Industry• Food ProcessingTwo/Three Phase Pressurized Oil/Water SeparatorsTPS - Pressurized Coalescing SeparatorsStainless Steel Media - Background, Polypropylene Media - ForegroundTPS UNITS - PRINCIPLE OF OPERATIONOily water entering through the inlet encounters the flow diffusion baffle, which helps distribute the flow of the oil/water into the vessel. The specific gravity of oil enables it to rise above the water; a process which is further enhanced by the use of coalescing media. As the oil droplets coalesce and their size increases, the droplets rise to the surface where they are skimmed off through an adjustable oil skimmer. The water continues through the media then through a series of underflow and overflow baffles before discharging from the oil/water separator.COALESCING MEDIATPS S e r i e s o i l / w a t e r s e p a r a t o r s utilize a unique coalescing media which provides for a high quality, c o n s i s t e n t , separation process.Model of Pressurized TPS™( OPTIONAL )UNIQUE DESIGN ADVANTAGES• ASME Section VIII “U” StampVessels• Operating pressures to 3500 psi• Operating temperatures to 600 °F• Effective free oil removal to 10 mg/l or less @ 20micron• Flow diffusion baffle for even flow distribution at the inlet channel• No costly cartridges or filter elements to replace. Coalescing media requires only periodic cleaning• High efficiency coalescing module• Fully automatic operation• High-performance phenolic epoxy interior coating for maximum protection• Stainless steel hardware• Constructed for 25 year operating life• Handling of 100% oil slugs on limited basis• Broad range of influent pH 4-12• Alloy construction available• Alloy clad vessels availableThis configuration also reduces internal sludge and solids buildup due to the media’s steep vertical flutes. Standard material is PVC rated to 140° F and various grade polypropylene rated to265 °F continuous. Stainless steel media can be supplied for temperatures exceeding265 °F. The media can be removed through the manways for simplified cleaning.Typical Piping and Instrumentation Diagramfor Skid Mounted Pressurized TPS Unit• Engineered Designs• Complete Skid Mounted Modules• Stainless Steel Vessels• Clad Vessels• Sand/Solids Jetting Systems• Vessel Heating Packages• Insulated Vessels• Hazardous Area Control Systems• Corrosion Resistant Control Systems• Influent Pumps: Air-operated Diaphragm, Progressive Cavity, Positive Displacement• Effluent Pumps• Oil Pumps• Stainless Steel Coalescing Media• Elevated Platforms/Walkways• Carbon Absorption Vessels• Effluent MonitorsOPTIONAL EQUIPMENT FOR TPS UNITSHudson Industries Engineers have extensive experience in equipment and process design for oily water treatment.
