Facilities

To date, we have invested over £2.5million in our manufacturing facilities. We choose to manufacture all products onsite, without the use of subcontractors. This gives us full control of all production output and product quality.

We have a range of Large Capacity CNC Lathes, Spark Erosion Tools and Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs), with a recent £100k investment into a new VMC system. Our facilities are also equipped with a hydrotest bay for product performance testing and an onsite spray paint booth, with NACE level 2 paint inspectors. We have extensive welding facilities, you can learn more under the Welding heading below. All areas of manufacturing have dedicated teams of staff, trained in their specific disciplines.

Capabilities

Internal taper machining is one of our key strengths. We have developed our own set of proprietary boring tools, allowing for the precise milling of extremely long bores. With our Large Capacity CNC Capabilities, we can manufacture Ejectors up to 24” NB. Our experience in Spark Erosion Tooling and VMC’s allows us to three-dimensionally machine extremely accurate, complex Ejector components. Our large assembly area gives us the flexibility to assemble large units and packages systems.

Welding

Welding is one our core competences. Due to the high pressures involved in our Ejector operations, and the hazardous environments our Ejectors operate in, precise, integral welds are a vital component of our products. We are accredited to ISO 3834 for the “Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials”. During manufacturing we fully segregate ferrous and non-ferrous metals and have a dedicated clean welding environment for the assembly of non-ferrous metals. Our welding consumables are stored in a dedicated climate-controlled environment to prevent degradation. Our welding capabilities include TIG, MMA, MIG/MAG, FCAW & SAW.

Materials handling

We handle a range of exotic materials inhouse. Depending on client applications, we are often required to manufacture Ejectors in a range of different materials. These include, but are not limited to: Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Polypropylene, PTFE and Titanium. Onsite we keep a year-round stock of ejector materials. This is managed by our dedicated Materials Handling & Controlling team. As well as this raw material stock we also hold a select stock of pre-built ejectors. These factors allow for the rapid turnaround of units when required (production capacity permitting).

Future developments

As part of our continued manufacturing investment plan, we are currently planning the development of two new onsite facilities. Firstly, an expansion of our inspection capabilities with a brand-new inspection facility. This will allow us to further build on our physical inspection procedures, you can learn more about these on our Quality page. We are also investing in a New Product Development (NPD) facility. The work undertaken in this facility will be paired closely with the development and testing conducted in our Ejector Centre of Excellence.
