Several case studies will be presented, including the production of high purity water for power plant operations, municipal drinking water and municipal wastewater reuse. Special attention will be given to large diameter RO elements that are being introduced as an alternative to standard RO elements for equipment cost reduction. Your seminar leaderJohn McArdle has over twenty years of technical and commercial experience with a variety of large scale separation processes including high and low pressure membrane filtration (MF/UF/NF/RO), electrodialysis and ion-exchange with emphasis on water and wastewater applications. McArdle is currently Director of Commercial Development for Koch Membrane Systems, Inc, in Wilmington, MA. In this position, he is responsible for the technical and commercial evaluation of new membrane products and applications. His activities have involved working on the introduction of membrane products in a variety of industrial and municipal water and wastewater markets and applications, including the rapidly growing water treatment markets of China and India. He has an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, MA and a Bachelors of Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College, Riverdale, NY.
