Type A - Integral Structural Steel Bases - Datasheet

Integral Structural Steel Bases shall be rectangular in shape. Rectangular bases are preferred for all equipment. Centrifugal refrigeration machines and pump bases may be T or L shaped where space is a problem. Pump bases for split case and end suction pumps shall include supports for suction and discharge elbows. All perimeter members shall be structural steel beams with a minimum depth equal to 1/12 of the longest dimension between isolators. Base depth need not exceed 12” provided that the deflection and misalignment is kept within acceptable limits as determined by the manufacturer. Height saving brackets shall be employed at all isolator locations to provide a minimum base clearance of 2".
