2022

The company`s revenue has grown by 29 % and is now 7.17 billion Czech crowns. The internet service Plus4U has more than 375,000 users.

IT solutions for energy companies and products Certigy and Enelane help to build a unified European energy market and reduce the carbon footprint of the economy.

ChargeUp has introduced new types of charging stations called MyBox. This comprehensive solution for charging EVs is used by charging station providers and EV drivers across Europe.

A new service called Schoolmarket has been added to the Plus4U.net offer.

Unicorn University has obtained accreditation for fully online studies in English in the bachelor`s program. Red Monster has created a special series of online courses for teaching Ukrainian children.

2021

Company turnover reaches 5.5 billion CZK. We have 225 000 users of Plus4U internet service.

We extend our products and services portfolio by acquisitions of TelcoOSS and ELEXIM eMobility.

Unicorn University launches the first semester of a fully online bachelor`s degree program in February. Red Monster has significantly expands its range of online courses, which are actively studied by more than 30,000 students.

2020

Company turnover reaches 4.8 billion CZK. We have 154 000 users of Plus4U internet service.

We extend our products and services portfolio by acquisitions of Edookit, DATA-PLAN Bohemia and IndSoft.

Unicorn College changes to Unicorn University and takes accreditation for a fully online form of study of the Software development program by the National Accreditation Office as the first Czech higher education institute.

2019

Unicorn opens a new development centres in Ceská Trebová and Norwegian Oslo.

2018

Unicorn opens new development centres in cities: Brno, Liberec, Pardubice, Písek, Ostrava.

2017

We have 96 000 users of Internet service Plus4U, company Plus4U Medical is founded.

In June we open a new micro-branch in Chrudim. It`s a first step of our concept which supports working people in smaller cities.

2016

Company HSI, specialist for geographic information systems, becomes a new member of Unicorn Group.

We expand our network of development centres - we open two more development centres in Prešov, Slovakia and in Ternopil, Ukraine.

We offer new services OSVC and +4U Lékar.

2015

The company achieves a turnover of almost 2 billion CZK, a 12,5% increase over the previous year. For the first time, the percentage of revenue gained from the contracts completed outside of the Czech Republic is higher than 40%.

2014

We expand non Prague branches in Czech Republic (Hradec Králové, Mladá Boleslav, Plzen and Brno) and open new developement center in Ostrava.

We open a Unicorn Systems branch in Arnhem, the Netherlands, an addition to our other existing branches abroad, in Slovakia and Ukraine.

Unicorn Systems extends its products and services portfolio and expands its team by acquisitions of Cygni Software and iCom Vision as well as the NAV and BSC divisions of WBI System.

2013

Based on its long-term experience, Unicorn launches Finno – a product line for business processes in banking, and Sinis – a product line for insurance.

Also we are opening a new development center in the Czech Republic in Mladá Boleslav.

We have 50 000 users of Internet service Plus4U.

2012

Company revenue from contracts with customers outside of the Czech Republic exceeded 30% of the total revenue of 1.42 billion CZK.

2011

We open a new branch in capital of Ukraine, Kyiv and also get new local clients.

For the first time in our history, altogether more than 1,000 co-workers are participating in Unicorn projects.

Unicorn implements ISO 10006, ISO 20000, and ISO 27001 standards. Its turnover totals 1.33 billion CZK

2010

Unicorn Systems completes international information systems implementation projects in the areas of energy industry and banking that are starting to be used throughout Europe.

First students successfully graduate from Unicorn College and earn their bachelor`s degrees.

2009

Unicorn finishes dividing its activities into three product areas: Unicorn Systems, Unicorn Universe, and Unicorn College. All companies are move to a new Executive Briefing Centre in Holešovice, the other bank of the Vltava river.

2008

Our digital construction set of information systems, Unicorn Universe, is launched. In three years, 20 thousand people would use Internet services built on this technology.

Company +4U Mobile is founded.

Unicorn successfully implements a system management supporting protection of the environment according to the CSN EN ISO 14001 standard.

2007

First students enter the gates of Unicorn College – a college specializing in information technologies, economy, and management.

2006

Turnover reaches more than 1 billion CZK for the first time. Unicorn’s share of the custom development market increases to 20%, which makes us the most successful Czech company in the industry.

Company VIG Plus a.s. is founded.

Holding is divided into three groups – Unicorn a.s., Vigour a.s., and VIG Plus a.s. – each group focuses on a specific area: Unicorn provides IT services, Vigour is responsible for recruitment, training, and further education of IT specialists, and VIG Plus is responsible for co-workers and for providing company benefits.

2005

Unicorn expands again and establishes development centres in Plzen and Brno. We become one of the founding members of the European Software Association.

2004

Company turnover reaches 618 million CZK, a threefold increase since 2000. Registered capital increases to 100 million CZK. All companies are moved into Danube House, a new representative office building in Karlín, Prague.

2003

Unicorn achieves turnover of 562 million CZK, which represents a 174% increase in comparison with the year 2000.

2002

Unicorn Holding becomes Unicorn a.s. and increases the amount of its registered capital to 87 million CZK.

2001

We expand into the regions - we open our first development centre outside of Prague, in Hradec Králové

Unicorn is issued a certificate according to ISO 9001:2000 standard.

Unicorn establishes subsidiaries in Croatia and Slovakia.

We open a development centre in Bratislava, our first development centre abroad.

Individual business entities of Unicorn become independent subsidiaries of Unicorn Group.

Unicorn becomes a joint-stock company and gives a capital boost to its activities in the area of information systems and technologies.

The portfolio of services provided extends beyond the scope of software development. Unicorn starts to provide consultation, distribution of technologies, training, and support.

The company grows and Unicorn Group is emerging. This company gradually becomes the core of the entire Unicorn Group. More people also means a need for a better employee system, which Vigour starts to provide.

1992

After only two years on the market, the company’s turnover already surpasses 1 million US dollars.

1990
